Magazine Front Cover Plan (Rough idea)

Just like typical Hip hop Magazine front covers, our magazine cover is going to have the name of the artist on the right, the subject on the left and the name of the magazine on top. We are planning to put the logo for Production Company 'Fade to black' on the top right corner like the one on the picture but we have not yet created our official logo and that is just a very quick draft.

• Artist on the front page- Just like typical Hip Hop magazine covers we will have the artist on the front page of our magazine cover, to show that the magazine is about the artist.
• Shades- to show that the artist is cool
• Suit- because nowadays hip hop artist such as Jay-z and Kanye west  appear to be like business men on magazine front covers to show that the music industry is really about business and the image helps the artists to look sophisticated and successful.

this is an example of an iconic sign 

because  a face is an icon of their person.

this will be done to help promote the artist 

and help him to become more widely recognized.

This close up shot will focus on the artist's facial expressions which we can use to show that the music video is a celebratory music video.

Clubbers Having a good Time.

• Narration-everyone is having a great time.
• Audience- Clubbers           

In our music video there will be some clips and mid shots  of
clubbers having fun and waving their hands in the air, this is an example
 of an iconic sign which is showing that they having a great time.
  Bright coloured filters  will also be used in our
 music videos to signify the mood of the clubbers and the artists
in the video, because bright colours such as yellow and orange
 have always been associated with fun. This is an example of
 an indexical sign.                                            

Champagne Bottle Smashing up.

                                            

We are planning to smash some bottles in our music video.
This is to represent that the Artists are wealthy and are focusing
 in having the best time of their lives.  Since in Typical Hip Hop
music videos smashing bottles have always been used in order to
show the great fun the artist are having. It is done purposely to
 make to audience aspire to be like the artists.

Free-styling Break dancer/ streat dancer   

               

Through out history break dancing has always been
 associated with hip hop, so in order to follow the
 stereotype we are planning to show a few shots of
 a break dancer in our music video.

Fireworks Display                                                                    

 

 Fire works will be one have the indexical signs that will
 be used in our music video. This is because fireworks
 represents celebration, happiness and fun, which matches
 the title of the album 'Celebration'.

  Dollar On Fire                                                                    

We are planning to burn a fake money in our
 music video. This will be used to symbolize
 the abuse of money in Hip hop music videos.
This is a prove to show that money are often
 abused in Hip Hop music videos. The narration
to this is that the artist are rich and wealthy, they
 have so much money and they can afford to throw
 some away. It is also used to symbolizes that the
 artists are absolutely unstoppable and they can do
 what ever pleases them even thought it may seem
bizarre.  American Dollars are usually used instead
 of any other currency because the Hip hop Genre
 is originated in New York where American Dollar
 is the currency.

Orange-yellow













We have choesen this coulour
because the bright orange,
yellowish colour represents
happiness, Good times and fun.
This helps us to bring out the
Alternate Hip-hop genre
we have  chosen.


Grey

Green

Since money is usually accosiated
with the Hip-Hop Genre we have chosen
to use a green colour in our magazine.
The green colour is used to show
that the artist are wealthy
as the colour of money is green.

Blue

The bright sky blue colour is used
to represent cheerfulness.
It will be mainly used to emphasis
the success of the artist because a
blue sky is used to signify that there
is no more 'rain' and rain represents
struggles, poverty and pain.
This is usually associated in the
 hip-hop genre because the artist are
usually from a poor background.
